I get shit for my degree in Communications, and I have to explain it's because I fucking hate math, am really, really bad at it, and NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A FUCKING ENGINEER OR IT SPECIALIST or whatever the shit everyone is always talking about. I just need a job that goes with my talents.
Same here. I just wanted to be a data entry clerk - sounds reasonable and unambitious doesn't it? But apparently you are only allowed to do this kind of work if you can also do accounts payable/receivable (I share your aversion to math), or work either in reception or a call centre (neither of which I can do thanks to the phone phobia and general people phobia caused by Asperger's). Life really sucks for introverts living in a world where absolutely everything is geared towards extroverts.
