A Perfectly Cromulent Girl

I only have one assistant, and she's lovely and already does a shitload of stuff for me - usually before I've even thought of it!

And don't let anyone tell you that you're not a 'real' teacher. damn it

Oh, that pisses me off. I hate this conversation:

"So what do you do?"

"I'm a teacher."

"What grade do you teach?"

"Pre-school."

"Oh. So, you're not really... I mean, you're more of a child care worker."

"If I was a child care worker, I would have said so. I'm a teacher. That's what it says on my degree."

"But it's pre-school. I mean, you don't really teach, you baby-sit."

"Clearly, you have no idea what I do, so stop making assumptions."

Grrr!
