I am continually stunned at how much we have in common - I'm a 'common' child too. Only in my case, Dad had 2 kids, Mum had 4, and then they got together and had another 4. I'm the oldest of those last 4, and pretty much the reason Mum and Dad got married (Mum was 7 months pregnant on their wedding day), so yeah, the first 6 weren't too happy with me either. According to Mum's kids I got better treatment off Dad because I was his real kid, and they weren't. Which is totally untrue (and they have realised that, now that they're older) - my dad is nicest, sweetest old guy in the world.
