It's bad enough to be about as tolerant of minorities as America's deep south - it's far worse to present this public persona to the rest of the world about 'our multi-cultural society' and 'embracing diversity'. Because it is fucking BULLSHIT.
What's got me so irate? A ten-year-old Aboriginal girl was gang-raped by nine men, ranging from teens to mid-20s. EVERY SINGLE ONE of these nine men WALKED AWAY VIRTUALLY SCOT FREE. NO JAIL TIME FOR ANY OF THEM. Because the judge said that the girl 'probably agreed' to having sex with them anyway. Let's set aside the fact that a TEN-YEAR-OLD CHILD happily consenting to being screwed by NINE MEN IN A ROW is most likely bullshit, and remember that even if she did, it's COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT since she's under-16. Statutory rape is statutory rape. Or it bloody well should be.
But apparently the law does not apply to little black girls. If this had happened to a little white girl, would any of those men have escaped jail? HELL NO.
Worst part of the story? The judge who handed down this despicable verdict? Was a woman. A WOMAN for fuck's sake. I hope the bitch burns in hell.
